Is it necessary to book our stay ? Can we book by telephone ?
We can provide information and advice over the telephone, and you can find live booking availability here.
We regret that we do not take reservations over the phone, you will need to do this online here.
What is the cost of my stay ?
Before confirming your reservation, you can simulate various cost options here.
Can I cancel my stay? In what conditions ?
You can cancel at least one month before the requested arrival date. On request, we will refund your booking deposit, minus a 20€ administrative fee.
You can also subscribe to the cancellation insurance of the FFCC which guarantees you a refund if you could not come. Details here.
Is the campsite far from Vallon Pont d’Arc and Pont d’Arc Cave ?
We are situated 15 minutes from the village of Vallon Pont d’Arc, and 10 minutes from the beach at Pont d’Arc and from the original Chauvet Cave.
Pont d’Arc Cave is also just 10 minutes away – it would be difficult to get any closer!
When is the campsite open ?
The campsite has two open periods :
- From the start of May to mid-September for our pitches, tented accommodation and chalets.
- From mid-April to the end of November for our gîtes, treehuts and gipsy caravans (except when the campsite is closed for annual holidays).
At what time during the day can we arrive ?
You can arrive any time after 12 noon if staying on one of our pitches, either in a tent, caravan or motorhome. For rental accommodation, the arrival time is between 4pm and 7pm. If arriving after 7pm, please contact us in advance.
Is there Wifi access on the campsite ?
Yes, there is free Wifi access around the pool, restaurant and terrace area. Wifi is not available however in the rest of the campsite, so you can enjoy switching off for a while !
At what time do we need to vacate our pitch or accommodation ?
On the day of departure, we ask you to vacate camping pitches before mid-day and rental accommodation between 8am and 10am.
Outside the high season, other options may be possible depending on bookings. Don’t hesitate to ask.
Are barbecues permitted ?
Yes and no!
Communal barbecues can be found at various points on the campsite – you can bring your own charcoal or buy some in our shop. You can also use a gas barbecue, however electric barbecues are not permitted.
What is the maximum electricity voltage available ?
The electricity connection for campers is 6 Amps, that’s 1200W. Check the voltage of any electrical equipment before you plug in.
In our rental accommodation, the available voltage is adapted to each electrical installation – please don’t add anything.
Are animals permitted ?
Yes, animals are allowed for both our rental accommodation and pitches, there is however a supplement to pay.
Where can we do our food shopping ?
We have a little shop on the campsite and you can order fresh bread for the morning.
There are lots of small shops and producers located close to the campsite – 100% local !Some accept payment in local Ardèche money known as les Lucioles.
Where can we make money withdrawals ?
Unfortunately there isn’t a cashpoint in St Remèze village – the nearest cashpoints can be found in Vallon Pont d’Arc or Bourg Saint Andéol.
Alternatively, you can pay in Lucioles ! The Domaine de Briange campsite is a currency exchange point for this local money, so you can get your Lucioles here to pay for goods and services from participating agents – subscription rates are reduced for holiday-makers.
Does the campsite close at night, and if so at what time ?
The campsite gates stay open at night, enabling you to enter the campsite at any hour.
However after 11pm, we ask that you park your car at the campsite entrance. In the morning, cars can circulate within the campsite from 7am onwards, which might even be a little too early when you’re on holiday !
What is there to do in the area?

Is the swimming pool open ? Is it heated ?
The pool is open from the Ascension Bank Holiday in early May through to mid-September. It is heated by solar domes – an eco-friendly way to warm the water.
Are shorts and Bermuda shorts permitted in the pool ?
No. We take great care of the water quality in the pool which is why we ask that you wear swimming trunks or boxers, nothing longer. If we can keep the water clean, then we can limit the use of chemical products which in turn means less harm both to your eyes and to the environment !
Do we need to bring our own sheets and towels if staying rental accommodation?
The sheets are provided and included in the price, as is the cleaning at the end of your stay. Towels can also be provided at extra cost – we ask you to book in advance if possible.
